Group Work

Try to match the number of students per group to the task.  For big class projects research indicates five to seven members is ideal.  Anything beyond seven members suffers from students feeling left out.

For small projects two or four members is ideal.  Note: three member groups are discouraged.  Groups with three members tend to increase power plays where one member is left out.
